Stirrings in the Rust
Where things go to be forgotten
Remake
So I had to do a remake of another person's work I randomly picked out of a hat.
The piece is a drastic reinterpretation.

About the Artist
My name is Carl Duff and I'm an illustration major at MCAD. I grew up gaming and from very early on I wanted to become a game maker. Of course, I realized I sucked at math, wanted nothing to do with it and would definitely hate programming. So instead I vowed to become a video game art director or concept artist.
I've always had a wide interest in graphic design, fine arts and comic art- but I always take it back to illustration and concept art.
My favorite subjects are robots, creatures and costumes. These subjects themselves are most important to me and I wish to convey ideas and emotions through their inherent designs. I am still exploring techniques and materials, but I can always trust the old reliable pencil, pen, ink, tablet and photoshop.
My strongest influences are from the comic book artists Ashley Wood and Ben Templesmith. The game that continues to inspire me to be an art director is Dark Souls. It is a rich game that believes in telling, not showing it's stories through it's art and designs. My favorite creature is the Alien created by H.R Giger.
